UNICAL presented the TECTONIC project at the event “Climate Change Threats to Cultural Heritage and Security” organized by The Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (CNR-ISAC, Italy), in the framework of the Project ERASMUS+ “CHePiCC online – Climate Change and Cultural Landscapes“.

The event was held on May 12th, 2023, in Brussels, at the headquarters of the European Association of Development Agencies (Rue Montoyer 24).

On one side, this event aimed at raising awareness of the importance of enhancing European Cultural Heritage and Landscape Protection in Climate Change and Related Topics, including tools for vulnerability and impact assessment, preparedness measures, risk mitigation, and management; on the other hand, it intended to present the outcomes of the CHePiCC online project, dedicated to education and training in cultural heritage protection.

Panels of discussion were dedicated to the following topics:

• Training and capacity building
• Cultural Heritage and climate change in the Framework of the European Cooperation
• Impacts and vulnerability assessment
• Risk mitigation and management

The TECTONIC project was presented in the first panel on training and capacity building.
