The 20th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) is an annual event that will take place at Guimarães, in Portugal, from the 12th to the 14th of July 2023.
This forum will bring together knowledge and experiences dealing with distributed computing and artificial intelligence and their application in several areas.
These technologies are constantly evolving, so they should be applied to meet our society’s needs, also solving some pressing problems, such as environmental ones.
This event will include the “New Perspectives and solutions in Cultural Heritage” special session to share ideas, projects, research results, and applications focused on the Preventive Conservation of marine and aerial Cultural Heritage.
Nowadays, especially preventive conservation of underwater cultural heritage represents a crucial issue for its protection because the marine environment is dangerous and difficult to access.
So the special session aims to join experts and researchers to share innovative approaches for more sustainable management of aerial and UCHs, facilitating monitoring operations and promoting the conservation in situ.
As in the previous editions, the TECTONIC project will hold this session to exhibit several works above all to encourage the development of a successful and sustainable strategy for Cultural Heritage conservation, proposing different technological and digital solutions.
