Yeray Mezquita from BISITE group, a researcher of the TECTONIC project, had the opportunity to carry out a research stay in Cosenza (Italy), collaborating with the 3D Research company.
The 3D Research is part of the TECTONIC project consortium due to its vast experience in technological innovation and Cultural Heritage. Moreover, it’s a great ally in fulfilling one of TECTONIC objectives to find new solutions to the complex problems encountered in underwater heritage field.
In the 3D Research group, Yeray Mezquita worked on the design and development of an interface for the remote control of a GoPro Hero9.
This camera will be placed inside a “diving suit” and used to take underwater images. Thank to this system, it will be be remotely managed with no need for a diver to be at its side at all times.
